6/29/08 LIVE LP NOW AVAILABLE AT ABOVEGROUND RECORDS: "Don't Let Your Head Hit the Cactus: LIVE" is now available at Aboveground. The CD only costs $7.99 and it has 10 songs from a live set recorded at an annual festival in MA from last May. The fourth track on the CD, "Try and Try Again" is being featured on local music stations and we are hoping that the rest of the tracks will surface in the near future as well. But we need your help! Tell your friends, tell your family, spread the word, and we will do our best to put up some stuff for everyone to get down to. Although it has been almost a year since our last live performance, we are hoping to break that chain this summer by playing many different multifaceted shows, yet again presenting a new and different sound that we feel represents the island community. Please email us, write on our blog, buy the CD, and let us know what's up.

6/29/08 We Support Local Radio: Although the station only projects a 5 mile radius through the town of Vineyard Haven, 93.7 WVVY has been putting out not only great music for islanders, but they have also been a huge support system for the island music community. We feel that there needs to be more lo fi, independent music and events coming from more island musicians because well....let's face it, we live on an island with a lot of people, young and old, who are looking for things to do. We know there is potential to really get this place hopping but we need the numbers to make it happen. If you are interested in checking out the new radio station, go to www.wvvy.org and if you have any suggestions for musical events or happenings, please contact us. We love hearing from you guys so please email us at pdripps8866@hotmail.com.

10/20/07 New Live Album Release Date Set for End of November: After months of editing and time spent in the studio, the album release date has finally been set. Entitled "Don't Let Your Head Hit The Cactus: LIVE," it will be available on iTunes at the end of November. However, it will be possible to get a copy from the band, via concerts and promotion, sometime in late October or early November.

5/5/07 Show at Flat Point Farm: A Foggy and Mystical Evening
For those who were there, it was an eerie, foggy, and dancy evening at Flat Point Farm for the Pink Socks "End of the Summer" show at the end of August. It was a great way to the end the summer! Although both the band and the fans were wet, the show still came in full force. The lighting beamed through the fog banks and the music let the people dance in the clouds. Jake Nochimow returned from a three month escapade in China, after doing volunteer work and exploring all that another country has to offer, and the band was reunited for one last summer show.
